Gotcha is the latest addition to JP Nagar scene of Lounges and Pubs. Like any other Lounge they have Indoor and Outdoor seating and the ambience is really interesting. Music although good can get a little loud. The best part is, on the lower floor, the same management has a Family Restaurant called The Chervil. Same food served on both floors and so, depending on your crowd and the kind of time you are looking for, you can either enjoy the Lounge Gotcha, or the fine-dine restaurant Chervil.
Coming to the menu, they have a wide range of cuisines to offer. Be it Indian, Pan-Asian, Continental, Mediterranean, or just fusion food, they have everything. We had the most number of dishes at this place compared to any other we have been to for a review.
In the Indian Section, the dishes the stood out for us were the Chicken Banjara Kabab, Basil-Pesto Paneer, Tandoori Khumbh (Mushrooms) and Cuban Mojo Chicken. Pesto Paneer is really an interesting combination of flavours. The Banjara Kabab and Mojo chicken were very succulent, melt-in-your mouth deals. We also had Eggs on Stick which is definitely an Eggetarian delight! The dishes that missed the OMG mark were the Tandoori Lamb Chops, which was a bit charred and not as succulent as the chicken Kabab and the Balluchi Chicken Tikka which was a bit dry and not too high on taste. In the Seafood Section, we tried the Banana Leaf wrapped Butterfish. Unlike many restaurants that serve similar dish, here you do not get it with Basa. While the masala is definitely tasty, we would recommend it only to seafood lovers since it is an acquired taste to enjoy Butterfish.

What really caught our attention and blew us away among the other starters was the Lettuce Boats. This for us was the dish of the day! Mushrooms and other veggies, sauteed and served on Lettuce cups with roasted peanuts. It was delish! A must have at Gotcha! The second starter that blew our minds was the curd rice tikki. Yup, you read that right! Curd Rice Tikki! Very innovative and served with yummy pickle-flavoured mayo, it was the king dish of fusion foods.

From the continental section we had the usual suspects – Pastas, One Seafood with Marinara sauce and one veg with creamy Alfredo sauce. Both were quite decent. We also enjoyed the stuffed baked chicken, a whole meal by itself. But what won this section for us was the Fish-and-Chips burger. The crispy fried fish, served in the well made burger was simply sensational, another must have at Gotcha! And for the Vegetarians, do give the Vegetarian Classic Grilled Cheese Burger a try.
From the Pan-Asian section, Nasi Goreng won the day. It got the shrimp flavour in the rice just right and was served with Chicken Satay and prawn wafers.

We ended our heavy meal with some Strawberry flavoured Panna Cotta and Caramel Custard. Both didn’t give us anything to complain about. A good end to the meal.

The prices of the drinks they offer are as expensive as any other lounge in the city, and sadly enough, the taxes take their toll. Started by some really young entrepreneurs, this place has got all the makings of a go-to hang out place.
Especially if you do not want to travel too far into the city for the same experience. Be it with Family or Friends, they Gotcha Covered!
