There was a lot of buzz going around Samaroh – a new fine dine restaurant located in Lavelle Road near Lamborghini Showroom. They had promised a culinary experience we would never forget so we had to put them to the test. They have a Thali system which is unlimited of course!

After being greeted like a king we were seated and explained that a mega feast is going to come our way.  With regards to the ambience, pink really stole the show here as it was blended in very well with other royal colors.

Down the food, our first impression was not at all that great as the Deconstructed Ladoo & Tomato soup wasn’t really up to mark due to the excessive sweetness. But you know, first impressions should never be the last especially when it comes to food.

Then came the starters, we had a round of chaats which were common place. Then came the show stoppers. The Paneer Tikka that was laced with Mustard was lovely, the Sandwich Dhokla, soft and delicious with a layer of chutney in between the Veg Kati Roll with cheese was yum as well. The real prize in the starters would go to the Tandoori Apple, you read that right, initially we mistook it for an potato but once we bit it, it was bliss!

Down to the mains, they had a mixed bag ranging from Videshi Sabzi Desi Tadhka, Samaroh Kofta, Chana Palak Sarson, Dal Pakwan, Dal Makhani & Paneer Tikka Masala and Raita. These gravies were served along with Tandoori Roti, Fulkas, Makke di Roti, and even rice dishes including Dhaba Pulao, Curd Rice & Steamed Rice.

After the myriad of dishes, what came back to our plate for a second helping was Videshi sabzi Desi Tadka which is exotic veggies in a cashew gravy and the classic Paneer Tikka Masala along with a roti of your choice. The rice dishes were ordinary.

If you believe that the best is saved for last then the desserts here will renew your beliefs. Kesar Pista Shrikhand, Rabdi Malpoa, Kulfi and Akhrot Halwa were the usual suspects what but stole our hearts and tummies was the Lychee Rasgulla, you read that right, a whole Lychee stuffed with a juicy Rasgulla, we bet you will have more than one!

Our tummies were full but our hearts wanted more, Samaroh was definitely a delightful dining experience.

We definitely recommend you try out Samaroh for a Thali experience beyond the Ordinary. We had purchased deals from www.LittleApp.in and got the Thali for 30% off. You can do the same, just Click Here and thank us later.

P.S: The cutlery will amaze you to such an extent that you might even forget about the food! The food too keeps changing everyday to keep variety alive.

P.P.S: The place really gets crowded around meal times, make sure you make an advance booking to avoid wait times.
