Anyone who loves beer, loves to party and has been to Panjim (Goa) will have only one place in mind. Cafe Mojo. Much to our surprise cafe Mojo had opened up in Namma Kudla at Goldfinch hotel. But did it live up to its goan predecessor?
We put them to the test. As we entered the lights were dim and we could sense England all over. True to its English ambience the waiters too sported suspenders and high pants making it a true English pub. Now this place boasts of unique beer taps which records the amount of beer drunk by a person as soon it dispenses it. Pretty cool right? Now the trick at mojos is that there is no billing system. So you have to purchase a card worth 1000 rs and use that amount. Once over u can recharge in denominations of 500rs. So every time you order something you have to swipe a card.
Down to the drinks mate. We ordered many cocktails. The best 3 were Death by Chocolate which was made from baileys and tastes fantastic, mojo razmatazz made from Bacardi razz and was smooth and mojo moments which had sweet lime and was really smooth too. These three are really relaxing drinks. They also serve a host of other Indian and foreign liquors. The sober fraternity needn’t worry they have some great mocktails too. Try out the Cucumber twist and strawberry delight. That’s the best they have.

Down to the starters. We started slow with the Achari paneer tikka and veg spring roll. The former was splendid and the latter was the usual. Then we went hardcore and went for the Kalmi Kabab and prawns ghee roast. The kalmi was grilled to perfection and the prawns were so succulent and well made.
For the mains we ordered Rice with fish and prawns in oyster sauce. This was wonderful the basa and prawns were so juicy and sauce immaculate. Then was the Pasta Polo Alfredo this wasn’t so appetizing. Followed by veg pan fried noodles, though it was bland it tasted great thanks to the exotic vegetables We wanted more continental so we ordered Grilled veg Skewers which tasted similar to a Shaslik. Finally we ordered Fish and Chips. To describe this in one word it was OMG! It tasted heavenly as the fish was so tender and delicately fried served the perfect chips and tartar sauce. This is their iconic dish we’d say. Don’t miss this. God definitely saves the best for last.
We left with a huge smile on our faces. Mojo is a must try you wont regret. FYI for all the party freaks, Saturday nights are pretty wild in Mojo with some of the best DJs spinning tunes and crowds dancing their hearts out. Don’t miss this. And it does get crowded. So come early and grab your place. See you at Cafe Mojo!
