Hello again hungry hippos. Hogs. People. Ok well call yourselves anything but we have another tongue tingling review. Clay Oven is probably one of the better Arabian cuisine serving restaurants in Mangalore and the pioneers here! And who doesn’t love Arabic food, right?

The place was quite nice. It had a light family restaurant type of feel to it. There was ample parking space in front and behind the restaurant. The place had a dim lighting with a very cozy atmosphere. A typical place for a quiet dinner with your loved ones

We started with some delicious mocktails. We loved the kiwi crush and the mint crush. We then rushed to the started and main course. We had experimented various dishes and Our top 5 recommendations are:

1. Chicken hyderabadi kabab

2. Veg khushi kabab

3. Dilkhush chicken biryani

4. Thai grilled chicken

5. Prawns koliwada

And these are exclusive dishes which are not available on the restaurant menu, so yes, y’all can thank us later. Or now. Also, the cheese naan and butter chicken are also a good bet. For the Arabic lovers they do have the Al Faham chicken

Their service is good, quantity is mediocre. The place is pricey with regards to their serving sizes, but we suppose they’re skimming the food lovers market with their premium pricing and attracting only the cream of the crowd. So it’s a good thing. Rest assured you won’t hear loud burping noises from the table behind you.

So we loved this place and we want you guys to throw on those thobes (ok don’t do this. Seriously) and head out to clay oven for some ???? ?????? (learn to start using google translate)

Happy hogging!
