So we’re back with one more review, rather two more reviews. Now these places don’t really need reviews as they boast of being Mangalore’s oldest and finest Chinese restaurants, but on popular demand, we thought we’d make some recommendations and optimise your dining experience there.

The ambience in Hao Ming is so-so, quite decent but nothing out of the ordinary. The food is to die for though. Our personal favourite soups are the Sizzling Rice Mushroom Soup and the Manchow soup (slightly spicy) available in Veg and Non Veg variants.

For starters you can opt for the drums of heaven, Thai Crunchy chicken (again our personal favourite), spring rolls and veg dragon rolls. Come main course, knock yourselves out on their delicious Shin Min Spl Rice and the Spicy Peking Noodles. The Shin Min is a chicken and prawn two gravy sort of dish and caters to all taste palates.

The prawns garlic and drunken chicken are good main course dishes as well for non vegetarians and for vegetarians we strongly suggest the Chef’s Special and their Hao Ming Special.

Hao Hao is like a younger and less exciting sibling. Darker ambience and the food almost as good but one thing that sets this place apart is the Fried Ice Cream and their Yin Yang Rice exclusively available here.
We haven’t even gotten to the best part yet.

The prices are unbelievably reasonable. A filling 3 course meal would cost anywhere between Rs 150 – 250. Awesome much?

We love these places and can’t get enough of it. Ever!
