What if something good closed down to make way for something better? That’s exactly what happened to Smoke n Oven when it closed operations at the beach and shifted to Mangalore City.

The new venue is absolutely fantastic! With warm and ambient lighting, this place gives you the feeling that you are sitting in a Goan shack! The only downside is that the place is slightly far off from the city.

Down to eating! We started off with a few coolers. The very berry, blueberry and the cold coffee were all really refreshing drinks. If you fancy something hot do try the lemon grass tea.

We ordered two pizzas one with the red sauce and one with a unique green sauce. There was an assortment of toppings on each pizza ranging from jalapenos, baby corn, zucchini, olives, paneer and chicken too. The beauty here is the option are virtually unlimited. You can mix and match the pizza however you want.

After a reasonably long wait came the pizzas. We monstrously dug in and oh my god! This was Christmas in our mouth! The pizzas were so tasty and well made that there wasn’t any comparison to this. The pizza disappeared in no time and it definitely was worth the wait.

Next up was the Quesadilla a Mexican speciality. Nowhere available in Mangalore therefore we had to give this baby a try. This turned out be even better than the pizza. It was so good that even after we were done we were speechless for 10 minutes! Its nothing like you’ve ever tasted before. Don’t leave smoke n oven café without trying this! You will thank us!

Summing things up, we had a great experience. Do visit this place with family and friends and don’t be in a hurry because this place requires a lot of your time as everything is handmade from scratch. Cheers!
